Mr. Wilburn Sirls, 94

Mr. Wilburn Sirls, age 94 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. He was the Agency Manager at Marshall County Farm Bureau for 30 years and also previously worked as an agriculture teacher in Calhoun, KY. He was a long time member of Hamlet Baptist Church. Mr. Sirls was a member of the Masonic Lodge #925 and was a veteran of the US Army and served during WWII.

Born Monday, October 17, 1927, he was the son of the late Dellon Sirls and the late Nora (Farley) Sirls.

Surviving are son, Mickey Sirls, wife Pam of Benton, KY, daughter, Patty Sanders of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Kevin Cartwright, wife Jessica of Kansas City, MO, Lauren Sirls Mann, husband Michael of Benton, KY, and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Hope, and Sahara Grace Cartwright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Madelle (Love) Sirls, brothers, Alton, Victor, Lawrence, George, B.D., and Charles Sirls, and sisters, Oleane Kirk, Lorene Faughn, Iva Mathis, and Della York.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with David Davis and Kevin Cartwright officiating.

Interment will follow in Hamlet Cemetery, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home.
