My name is Andrea Moore and in December I filed to run for Circuit Court Judge in Marshall and Calloway Counties. My Father-in-law and Sister-in-law were both there to witness the signing. Both counties are close to my heart. I grew up in Calloway County where my grandfather ran the Singer Sewing shop for years and then I met my husband, a local pharmacist, who grew up in Possum Trot and we are now raising our two girls in the heart of Marshall County.
Throughout my years representing families in Calloway, Marshall, Lyon, Trigg, Livingston, Caldwell and Christian Counties I have been lucky to work with some of the best court personnel, clerks, Pretrial officers, investigators, administrative specialists, police officers, sheriffs, deputies, jailers, social workers, prosecutors, public defenders, private attorneys and probation officers that you could ask for.
I became concerned after covid hit when I saw many workers in the justice system leaving their positions to seek new opportunities. If we lose the dedicated men and women that make up our local justice system we all lose out. I want to put the focus back on these employees and do any and everything I can to assist them in bringing forth justice to our community. I want to make their day-to-day work life better so the justice system can continue to function the way it should without high turnover due to these valuable people being overlooked and taken for granted.
