Grace L. Lucas, age 77, of Paducah, formerly of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
Grace was born in New York, NY on September 18, 1944 to the late Thomas and Grace Corbett. She was a beautiful, loving and caring woman with a heart of gold. Grace enjoyed spending time crafting, working puzzles and cooking. Most of all, Grace loved her family, especially her husband, Joe, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by the love of her life for 37 years, Joseph R. Lucas; her daughters, Grace Evette Seabrook-Woo, husband, Philip of Aberdeen, New Jersey and Gloria E. Melrose of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; her brother, Noel R. Corbett and wife, Virginia of Brick, New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Jose C. Valentin, Alexandra Seabrook, Tabitha A. Emmitt (Logan), Kayla Seabrook, Joseph Seabrook, Brianna Martinez, Maurice Seabrook, Emily G. Woo, Adam P. Woo; four great-grandchildren, Matthia Long, Ian Lucas McCormick, Bryson Seabrook and Lincoln Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her son, Willie Seabrook; sister, Elizabeth Sears; two brothers, Thomas Corbett and LaMont Corbett; and her parents.
A funeral service for Grace will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
