He was born September 20, 1941, the middle child of 9 children born to Joe and Victoria (Nanney) Morris.
Jerry retired from the Marshall Co. Board of Education, where he worked as a custodian. He was a member of the Walnut Grove church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda (Tyree) Morris, daughter Delia Riley and husband, William, grandsons Cole M. Riley and Clay T. Riley and wife McKenzie and one sister, Judy Taylor, all of Benton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Junior Morris, Franklin Morris, Lawrence Morris, Bobby Morris, Roger Morris, Eddie Morris and one sister Faye Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. David Hendrickson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Houser Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 between the hours of 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Collier Funeral Home.
