Raymond was born on June 28, 1939 to the late Fred and Bernice Bendel. After he proudly served his country in the United States Army, he started his career with the United States Postal Service and stayed there until retirement in 1986. Mr. Bendel was an avid music lover. He was a man who loved to tell a good joke, give a word of wisdom and adored his grandchildren. Most importantly, Mr. Bendel loved the Lord. He was a member of New Concord Church of Christ.
Those preceding him in death include a daughter, Cynthia Gotham, in addition to his parents.
He is survived by three sons, David Bendel and wife Carlene, Fred Bendel and wife Tamara, Marty Branson and wife Lesa; a daughter, Valerie McNeely and husband Keith; grandchildren, Emily Baldwin, Megan Chanhnouvona, Danica Zollner, Adler Shaun Bendel, Finley Nora Rose Bendel, Amber-Lee Eckert and great grandchildren, Kyliana Wiggins, Leigha Powell, Kai Chanhnouvona, Zane Zollner, Kaesen Gotham.
A memorial service is being planned.
