Kenny was born in Peoria, Illinois on October 4, 1954 to Chester and Mable Gray. He was proud to serve his country by joining the United States Army and then becoming a Deputy Sheriff in McCracken County.
Kenny’s family was everything to him and he cherished every moment he spent surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. He enjoyed sharing his favorite pastimes, such as camping and fishing, with those he loved. Kenny loved each and every holiday, but especially Christmas. He would deep fry a turkey, cook chili, and make no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies (that somehow always came out perfectly) all for his loved ones to enjoy.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Victoria Gray of Smithland; three daughters, Amber Smith (Michael) of Paducah, Kayla Henson (Dwayne) of Calvert City, and Crystal Green of Smithland; two sisters, Suzanne Copeland (Donnie) of Paducah; Tammy Mallory of Paducah; one brother, Ricky Gray of Hickory; eight grandchildren, Courtney Hill, Marissa Stephens, Tessa Green, Dillion Augustus, Hailey Henson, Aidan Smith, Jensen Smith, and Landon Henson; and one great grandchild, Everett Shannon.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Chester Gray; his mother, Mable Bronson Gray; three sisters, Linda Cox, Claudine Belt, and Charlene Gray; and one brother, Billy Joe Gray.
