
Ann Kirkwood Watson, age 78, of Mayfield, KY passed away Saturday October 30, 2021 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN.
She was a retired school teacher from Mayfield Independent School System, and retired co-owner of Watson’s Food Center in Mayfield. She was also a member of the Seven Oaks Church of Christ. Ann was a Sunday School teacher at church and a very active volunteer.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard “Dick” Watson; one niece, Susan Kirkwood Martin of Mebane, NC; one great niece, Ashley Martin Green; one great nephew, Phillip Martin; 2 great-great nephews, Josiah Green and Nolan Martin.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Alan Watson, II., and Dr. William Breckenridge Watson; one brother, William Lynn Kirkwood; mother and step-father, Annie and Raymond Perkins as well as her father, Curtis Kirkwood.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday November 3, 2021 at the Seven Oaks Church of Christ in Mayfield, KY. Josh Ketchum and Tyler Alverson will officiate. Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield, KY. A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday November 3, 2021 at the Seven Oaks Church of Christ.
