
Shirley was born on January 1, 1928 to Gilbert and Rosie Lambert Adams. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Carlisle County. Shirley loved to quilt, crochet, and do most any kind of craft. She was often called on to baby-sit and she loved cooking for her family. One word that would best describe her is “faithful”.
Shirley is survived by one daughter, Janet Haeffner of Arlington; one sister, Loretta Lane and husband Ellis of Lake Worth, Florida; one sister-in-law, Kay Adams of Joplin, Missouri; one grandson, Thomas Haeffner and wife Tiffany of Martin, Tennessee; one great-grandson, Jonathan Medlock of Boaz, Kentucky; a special niece, Sandra Gifford of Bardwell, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Reba Medlock; two sisters, Colettta Jane Adams and Mildred Hunt; five brothers, Willie Adams, Jack Adams, Tommy Adams, Grady Adams, and Clifford Adams; three grandsons, Danny Rose, Steven Medlock, and Bryan Lamunion.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Arlington City Cemetery with Bro. Mark Lambert officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
