Mrs. Carolyn Canter, age 82, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center ER in Mayfield, KY.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mayfield, a member of Retired Teachers Association and a retired teacher with 28 years of service in the Graves County School System.
Mrs. Canter is survived by two sons, Lee Canter of Mayfield, KY and Lyle (Lora) Canter of Sedalia, KY; one daughter, Lisa Douglas of Mayfield, KY; two sisters, Dorothy Moreland of Mayfield, KY and Linda (Clayton) Burgess of Mt. Juliet, TN; three grandchildren, Dylan (Brittiany) Douglas of Mayfield, KY, Colby Canter and Courtland Canter both of Sedalia, KY; four nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Canter; one son-in-law, Michael Douglas; and her parents, Richard and Ruth Roberts Bost.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Canter will be 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Bro. Gregg Hussey will officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
