Gus Geurian Jr. , 77, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes.
Mr. Geurian was a member of Heartland Church where he belonged to the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class. Gus served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. He was a Deputy Sheriff in Johnson County, Kansas for 10 years and was retired as a Field Human Resources Manager from BE&K Construction Company.
Gus is survived by his wife of 38 years, Meriam Brady Geurian; three daughters, Julie Scott and husband, Bill of Severance, Colorado, Jill Bortz and husband, Brad of Olathe, Kansas and Sarah Stanger and husband, Ryan of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Brady Geurian and wife, Meranda of Paducah; a daughter-in-law, Reina Geurian of Reno, Texas; nine grandchildren, Jamie and Aaron Bortz of Olathe, Kansas, Jadyn and Brendt Scott of Severance, Colorado, Gus Geurian IV of Reno, Texas, Payton and Abbi Moore of Paducah and Logan and William Stanger of Murray, Kentucky; special family members, Jane McCann Moore, Sydney McCann, Joyce Geurian, Norma Carey and Kerisha Simmons.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Gus Geurian III. His parents were, William Gus Geurian Sr. and Ruby Nell Roberts Duggar.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Brother Ryan Stanger officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
