Mrs. Lucille Haywood, age 88 of Prestonsburg, KY, died on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. She was a homemaker and member of Fitzpatrick Baptist Church.
Born Tuesday, January 31, 1933 in Dema, KY, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Layne and the late Elizabeth (Terry) Layne.
Surviving are sons, Steve Haywood, wife Deborah of Prestonsburg, KY and Ben Haywood, wife Jennifer of Clarksville, TN, daughter, Vivian Choat of Eddyville, KY, sisters, Norma Jean Ogden of Taylor, MI, Leslie Martin of Morehead, KY, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years, Earl Haywood, brother, Ray Layne, sisters, Hassie Hall, Verna Mae Cox, and Verlie Sue Eastridge.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Jed Ramey officiating.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens (McNatt Section), Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
