Masks no longer required for fully vaccinated individuals

(May, 13, 2021) – Gov. Andy Beshear announced today that masks will no longer be required indoor or outdoor, following the new CDC quidelines. The only exception will be settings like hospitals, long term care facilities, prisons and a few others. Beshear also encouraged those still not vaccinated to make an appointment and get it done.

From the CDC website:

  • If you are fully vaccinated, you can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic.
  • Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
