Mr. Dennis Weber Smith, 73 of Benton, KY passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at Oakview Manor Healthcare Center in Calvert City, KY.
Born Sunday, February 8, 1948 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Veldon Winfrey “Pelly” Smith and the late Ellen (Weber) Smith.
He was a graduate of Symsonia High School, Symsonia, KY, a retired Equipment Operator for Texas Gas Company, and was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church in the Clear Springs Community in Graves Co.
Surviving are his sister, Denise Speight, husband Dean of Alamo, TN; two nephews, Christopher Speight of Jackson, TN and Brian Speight, wife Brook of Alamo, TN. He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY with Rev. Richard Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow the service in the McKendree Cemetery, Clear Springs, KY.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
