Michael Paul Outland, 37, released this life on January 7, 2021 at his grandmother’s home in Dexter, Kentucky.
He was born on May 30, 1983 in Murray, Kentucky the son of Paul Ray Outland and Paula Kim Perkins.
He had traveled the entire continental United States as a young man with his stepfather, Harry Kelley. Having worked in various jobs such as lawn care, private catering waiter staff, construction, oil/brake, well drilling, furs and his last job was as a cook at Captain D’s. His dog, Pebbles, was his loyal pet in Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. He enjoyed swimming, sharpshooting, playing video games and helping friends out as he was able. His faith was observed by baptism and Bible study. A terminal cancer diagnosis dimmed his future entirely.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Ray Outland; grandparents, Murlene and RG Outland and grandfather, Larry Perkins; uncles, Roger Perkins, Jessie Outland, and an aunt, Shirley Ladd and her husband Douglas. He is survived by his mother, Paula Kim Kelley; three sisters, Sabrina Outland, Amy Medina (Dan) and Lori Lewis (Robert); a grandmother, Phyllis Perkins; four aunts, Nita Perkins, Sandy Wallace, Paula Outland and Christy Outland; three uncles, Loyd Outland (Vickie), Randall Outland (Karen) and Ronald Outland (Charlotte); two nieces, Victoria Gilbert and Carmen Medina; twelve cousins as well as grand aunts and uncles.
His family shall honor his life with a pay it forward act of planting a tree and loving each other. Pandemic guidelines prevent an all-out wake after cremation. Toast where you are, smile in memory and find comfort in our eternal hope that life is transformed by our living souls.
