Marshall County Public Library Director Tammy Blackwell joined WCBL’s Chris Freeland on Coffee Call recently. Blackwell says all branches of the library are currently closed, but plans are to start offering curbside service at the end of the month. Once that begins, curbside service will be offered at the new Benton branch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at the Calvert City and Hardin branches on Tuesday and Thursday. Blackwell says people are borrowing e-books and audio books in record numbers with over 6000 e-books and over 2000 audio books checked out since the library closed because of COVID-19.
