The Marshall Master Gardener Association awarded Calista Brooke Thompson with a $1000 Scholarship on August 8th during their regular monthly meeting. She is the daughter of Alan Thompson and the late Mary Catherine Thompson of Benton and is currently a Junior at Murray State University pursuing a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science/Agronomy.
The Marshall Master Gardners Association is an organization of volunteers that must complete a sixteen week course through the Marshall County Extension Office.
