The tug boat that sank in the Tennessee River in an incident on Monday night has now been located. The location was determined by the Coast Guard on Tuesday night.
Recovery teams have arrived from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will start the process of removing the boat from the river.
There is no information yet regarding the circumstances that led to the sinking of the boat. That determination will be made once the boat is recovered and can be fully inspected according to Marshall County Emergency Management Director, Curt Curtner.
