Central Elementary School had a couple of new administrators on Tuesday.
Jaden Cannon was Principal and Miller Doughty was Assistant Principal. These boys did a great job fulfilling all their tasks. They did morning announcements, passed out awards, met with all staff, passed out treats to the students caught being good, helped with the school can drive, had an “administrative lunch” with friends, went to the board office to talk with Mr. Lovett, taught a mini lesson, scheduled staff massage day, and helped with school dismissal. They even got in a short game of basketball in the principal’s office while eating popcorn.
The students were given this opportunity through a fundraising auction held at the school’s Fall Festival that allowed parents to bid on their child being “Principal for a Day”. Two additional students will have their turn on Friday.
