Milling & Paving along US 62 in Reidland Area of McCracken County starting Wednesday, August 22nd

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and asphalt paving along a secton of US 62/Kentucky Dam Road in the Reidland area of McCracken County starting Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

Milling & Paving along US 62/Kentucky Dam Road runs from milepoint 12.881 at the intersection with US 60 near the end of the Ledbetter Bridge extending eastward to milepoint 14.042 near the the KY 787/Calvert Drive intersection, a distance of 1.16 miles.

Milling is planned on Wednesday and Thursday to be followed by paving to start on Friday, August 24th.

Jim Smith Contracting, LLC, of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $582,082 highway improvement project.  Weather permitting, this paving project has a target completion date of September 1, 2018.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

About 13,000 vehicles travel this section of US 62 in eastern McCracken County in an average day.
