Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man during the early morning hours Wednesday for assaulting a child.
According to reports, Sergeant Tim Reynolds and Deputy Cory Curtner were called to an unidentified location on U.S. Hwy. 68 West at about 1:15 a.m. The call was in reference to a disturbance and assault. Investigators believe Amel Mauricio Hernandez had assaulted an unidentified 12-year old child. Sgt. Reynolds charged Hernandez with alcohol intoxication in a public place, assault second degree and first degree wanton endangerment.
Hernandez was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
