Marshall County Sheriff’s Report March 8, 2018

On March 7th at 9:50pm, Deputy Dennis Lewis and Sergeant Jason Lane responded to Sharpe in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Oakland Church Road of the reported vehicle. As a result of the investigation, it was discovered that the driver had taken Adderall and had taken Methamphetamine prior to driving. Ricky Tyler Turnbow of Fancy Farm, KY was arrested and charged by Deputy Lewis with Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence Alc/Drugs/Etc .08 3rd Offense and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited. Further investigation revealed an arrest warrant on file in McCracken County. The warrant charges Turnbow with Assault 4th Degree.

On March 7th, Captain Brett Edwards served a bench warrant from the Marshall Circuit Court. Danielle N. Minter of Hardin was served the Bench Warrant for Violation of bond on an original charge of Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense.

On March 6th at 10:15am, Deputy Steven Oakley arrested Justin Freeman of Benton on a McCracken County warrant.

On March 5th, Detective Sergeant Kevin Mighell and Detective Nathan Maxlow executed a search warrant at a residence on Hooper Ridge Lane. According to citations filed by Detective Sergeant Kevin Mighell, Michael P. Hooper (37) and Kourtney K. Hooper (27) both of Benton, were arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense – Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. During the search of the residence, detectives seized over 40 grams of methamphetamine, several sets of digital scales, marijuana and numerous amounts of drug paraphernalia. The methamphetamine seized at the residence has a street value of more than $4000. Michael and Kourtney were transported and lodged in the Marshall County Jail. Additional charges are pending on both Michael and Kourtney.
