Little League Basketball 2017-2018 registration now open

Registration for the 2017-2018 Little League Basketball season is now open for all 1st-6th grade boys and girls attending school in Marshall County.

Register at MarshallCountyLittleLeague.com by Friday, Oct. 13. All registrations must be completed online.

Our mission at Marshall County Little League Basketball is to help students develop basic skills and instill a love of the sport while learning the fundamentals of team play in a fun and appropriately challenging environment. Every player will also receive an MC Little League Basketball T-shirt!

The participation fee is $60 per player. Families with two or more siblings playing will pay a discounted fee of $100 to cover all players living in the same household.

To ensure team equality, all 1st-6th grade players must attend a skills evaluation Tuesday, October 17 and Thursday, October 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Girls evaluations will be held in the Central Elementary gym and boys evaluations will be held in the Marshall County High School auxiliary gym.

The format for 2017-2018 has changed; the divisions are different. They are as follows: 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th (those that do not make the middle school team). This season we are including the 1st and 2nd grades to the MCLL. The season will consist of a pre-season jamboree, six regular season games, post season tournament and an All Star Game.

Please mark these dates on your calendar:

•       October 13 – Registration closes (Register at MarshallCountyLittleLeague.com)

•       October 17 & 19 – 1st – 6th grade evaluations 6 to 8 p.m.

(Girls at Central Elementary, Boys at MCHS auxiliary gym)

Our goal is to serve more than 500 students this year, but we need your help getting the word out, especially among girls. Invite a friend to play, and let’s make the 2017-2018 Little League Basketball season the best ever!
