Mr. Donald Jan “D.J.” Johnson, age 60 of Clinton, TN, passed away Sunday, July 30,
2017 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.
Born June 9, 1957 in Mayfield KY, he was a retired Engineer for the Parsons Group in
Oak Ridge, TN. He was a graduate of Marshall County High School and was a graduate
of Murray State University. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton, KY.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Joanne (Sullivan) Johnson of Benton, KY, two
brothers; Norman Johnson, wife Gloria of Slaughters, KY and Rev. Joe K. Johnson,
wife Mary Ann of Cadiz, KY, one sister; Carolyn Hinton of Benton, KY. Three
nephews; Brad Hinton of Benton, KY, Andrew Johnson of Madisonville, KY, and Bryan
Johnson of Greenville, KY also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Sig Johnson and brother-in-law, David
Hinton.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. in
the First Baptist Church of Benton Activities Building. Rev. Joe K. Johnson will
officiate.
Friends may visit with the family after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2017 until the
service hour of 3:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Benton Activities Building,
910 Main St., Benton, KY 42025.
