Loyd E. Duncan, 84 of Benton, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at the University of Louisville Hospital.
Mr. Duncan retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority and served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his sons, David Duncan and his wife Peggy of Benton and James Duncan of Benton; his daughter, Lora Wood of Benton; step-daughter, Nanette Croley of Calvert City; his sister, Lavera Elkins of Benton; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, John Duncan; two grandchildren, Jonathon Staggs and Jennifer Staggs; three brothers, Alfred Duncan, Alvie Duncan and James Duncan; and his companion, Neva Reeder.

His parents were Rufus Duncan and Lora Byars Duncan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 9 at Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home, the Rev. Roger Rice will officiate. Burial with military rites will follow in Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
