KSP makes arrests in theft investgation

Kentucky State Police have charged two Princeton men following an investigation that began March of last year.

Following the April 19, 2016, request from KSP for information, information was received from the public which furthered their ongoing investigation. During the course of the investigation, KSP Detectives discovered one of the suspects, Jason Wynn, had also been involved in three other burglaries from the same area.

KSP presented information to a Lyon County Grand Jury which resulted in the issuance of indictments on May 1, 2017, for all four burglaries.

Travis D. Hale, 25, of Princeton, has been charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $10,000. At the time of his arrest, he was already incarcerated in Hopkins County Jail.

Jason C. Wynn, 32, of Princeton, has been charged with four counts of second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000, and first-degree persistent felony offender. At the time of his arrest, Wynn was already incarcerated at Roederer Correctional Facility (Kentucky Department of Corrections) in Oldham County.

KSP was assisted during the investigation by Lyon County Sheriff Department, Eddyville Police Department, and Princeton Police Department.
