Second Solar Eclipse Community Forum Scheduled to Update Lakes Area Residents

Hopkinsville, KY – (March 16, 2017) The City of Hopkinsville announced that it will  hold its second Solar Eclipse Community Forum on Tuesday, March 28th at 6:00 p.m. at  the Hopkinsville Community College Auditorium located at, 720 North Drive,  Hopkinsville.

This forum will be open to all members of the public and will serve as an  information session for general updates about planning for the solar eclipse, as  well as logistical components such as accommodations, utilities, safety and plans to
coordinate the anticipated high traffic areas.

In addition to a Q&A session and general updates, this forum will feature, the  Multiverse <http://multiverse.ssl.berkeley.edu/> education team from the University  of California, Berkeley’s Space Sciences Laboratory<http://www.ssl.berkeley.edu/>.

Dr. Laura Peticolas, Director of Multiverse and the Eclipse Megamovie project, and  Chris Cable, Science Education Consultant, Multiverse, Space Sciences Laboratory,  will be on hand to present some educational information and also discuss details  regarding how you can participate in the Eclipse Megamovie project.

For individuals unable to attend this forum, it will be streamed live on the Solar  Eclipse Hopkinsville 2017 Facebook page, where users can watch online.
