Ms. Cleo Pace Copeland, age 90 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at her home. She was retired after 45 years from the Marshall County School System as a school bus driver. She also worked for the Kentucky Dam State Park as a food server for 25 years. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tatumsville, KY.
Born Friday, July 23, 1926 in Marshall Co, KY, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Marvin Pace and the late Ida Mae (Collins) Pace.
Surviving are sons, Donald Copeland, wife Lonnie of Tatumsville, KY, Craig Copeland of Briensburg, KY, nephews, Randall Poe and family of Murphreesboro, TN, and Rodney Poe and family of Bowling Green, KY.
She was preceded in death by son, Danny Ray Copeland, her parents, Elbert and Ida (Collins) Pace, brother, JT Pace, sister, Earlene Pace Poe, and brother-in-law, Frank Poe.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Charles LaChance officiating.
Interment will follow in the Stice Cemetery, Gilbertsville, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home.
