Fiscal Court approves Road Department truck bid, pay raise for OEM Director

BENTON – [VIDEO FOLLOWS REPORT] Marshall County Fiscal Court met in regular session Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
Bids were opened for a 1-ton truck for the Road Department, receiving two from Country Chevrolet and Parkway Chrysler. Country Chevrolet’s bid was for a purchase price of $42,305 and Parkway Chrysler bid a vehicle for a 3-5 year lease agreement. The court approved the lease bid from Parkway Chrysler, citing money from Delta Regional in the amount of $26,000 that the county will receive from storm damage repairs done by the Road Department that was going to the purchase of a truck, can be used for other things if needed.

NEW BUSINESS
The court approved an increase in pay for Curt Curtner, Emergency Management Director, to bring his pay level up to a $48,000 annual salary to keep him exempt and in compliance with a Labor Law change that will take effect January 1, 2017.

The court approved the Treasurer’s Report, Appropriation Transfer and Payment of the Bills.
