Teresa Chiles

Teresa ChilesOn Thursday, November 3, 2016, the world lost a very special woman. After a long and
hard fought battle with cancer, Mrs. Teresa (Teri) Ellen Chiles defeated the disease
as she was called to her eternal home surrounded by those she loved the most.

Teri was a faithful servant always putting others first. Even in her illness, she
looked for ways to help others. She was an active member of Briensburg Baptist
Church serving in the Team Kid Children's Ministry and anywhere else she was needed.
Teri also enjoyed spending many of her Fridays volunteering at Marcella's Kitchen.
She was a long time committee member for the Marshall County Relay for Life and was
passionate about finding a cure for cancer.
More than anything, Teri loved her family and they loved her. She was a devoted
wife, loving mother, sister, loyal friend and her Daddy's "Baby Girl". Of all of her
titles, the one she loved most was "Mamaw". She adored her grandsons.

Of everything that characterized her, "strong" would describe her the most. She
faced many challenges and fought many battles throughout her lifetime and handled
each one with grace. She always came out on top and stronger than before. Though her
final battle has come to an end, cancer did not claim her life. She was claimed by
her Heavenly Father as He called her home. We have prayed for healing for many years
and our God has healed her. In that, we find peace.

Teri is survived by her husband of 36 years, Randy Chiles; son, Kit Chiles (wife
Kelly); daughter, Jennifer Oakley (husband Jason); grandsons, Kaden, Jaggar, Kash,
Keston, and Jax; parents, Charlie and Betty Baker; brothers; David Baker (wife Pat)
and Eric Baker (wife Sherry); bonus siblings Danny Ham, Larry Ham, Carla Reed, and
Cathy Woods along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Teri was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Moore Baker; sister, Nanett Baker;
maternal grandparents, James L. Moore III and Dorothy Moore; paternal grandparents,
Frank and Minnie Baker.
