Vernelle (Copeland) Faulkner, 88 of Calvert City, Kentucky died on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Oakview Manor Healthcare Center in Calvert City, KY.
She was a retired nurse for the Pediatric Group of Paducah and was a member of Zion’s Cause Baptist Church.
Born Saturday, August 20, 1927 in Mayfield, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rudy and Vera
Powell Copeland.
Surviving are son, James Alan Faulkner of Benton, KY, sister, Louise Crouch of Calvert City, KY, grandchildren, Kristen Faulkner of Louisville, KY, Kyle Faulkner of Murray, KY, Brandon Faulkner of
Memphis, TN, Ondrej Chudik of Seattle, WA, and great-grandchildren, Alia Penrod of Murray and Danielle Faulkner and Steven Faulkner both of Memphis, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bailey L. Faulkner; sons, Steve Faulkner, David Faulkner and John Cuneo, and sister, Barbara Jean Copeland.
A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel
located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier officiating.
Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
