Gas prices continue to rise across the Lakes Area

Average retail gasoline prices in Kentucky have risen 10.0 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.25 gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy.

This compares with the national average that has increased 8.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.22 a gallon.

In the Lakes Area prices have also increased to a range from $1.99 to $2.19 a gallon.

Including the change in gas prices in Kentucky during the past week, prices yesterday were 29.3 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 22.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 15.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 39.3 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
