Marshall County Health Department releases county-by-county health rankings

County Health Rankings

County Health Rankings are state-by-state rankings of the health of each county in the United States.

They are completed annually by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.

County Health Rankings look at Health Outcomes, representing today’s health, and Health Factors, representing tomorrow’s health.

From 2015 to 2016 Marshall County improved from 26 to 10 in Health Outcomes and from 19 to 10 in Health Factors out of 120 counties in Kentucky. 

The Top 5 Counties in Kentucky for 2016 in Health Outcomes are: 1. Oldham 2. Boone 3. Spencer 4. Shelby 5. Scott. 

The top 5 counties in Kentucky for 2016 for Health Factors are: 1. Oldham 2. Boone 3. Spencer 4. Woodford 5. Campbell. 

The 2016 Data was released on March 16, 2016.
