In their second tournament of the season, the Marshall County Bass Team fished in the Kentucky Lake Murray State Open on Saturday.
The best Marshall finish came from Tristan Barrett and Tyler Bates placing 15th in the field of 111 teams with a 5-fish total weight of 12-11. Peyton Porter and Barrett Washburn placed 58th with 2 fish weighing 3-15 and Quaid Watwood and Maggie Smith were one of 38 teams shut-out on the lake.
Calloway County’s Allen Mullins and Colton Noel placed 1st with 5-fish weighing 27-0, winning by a margin of 6-13. Calloway County had three teams in the top 12 of the tournament. Second place went to Hopkins Central’s Addison Watson and Bobby Miller with 20-3 and third to Muhlenberg County’s Billy Hardison and Nathan Flener with 16-9.
The Biggest Bass was caught by the team of Colton Cox and Andrew Douglas from Calloway County, weighing 6-9.
The Marshall anglers will fish in the Calloway County Open on March 19th.
