Demolition has begun on the former site of the Marshall County Health Department on East 12th Street in Benton. The new and improved health department is located at 267 Slickback Rd. in Benton.
Demolition will continue on the former laundromat next to the construction site, which will make way for a new Marshall County Public Library branch in Benton.
The library bought the property earlier this year and plans to expand off of their current building at 1003 Poplar St.
