BENTON – Marshall County Judge/Executive, Chyrill Miller has appointed Curt Curtner as Emergency Management Director. The Judge/Executive and her committee selected him over nine other candidates.
Curtner has held the position of Deputy Coroner since 2001 and was appointed Search and Rescue Coordinator one year ago for the Marshall County Fiscal Court. Curtner is currently the Rescue Squad Chief and has served in that capacity since 1995. As rescue squad chief he assisted in water rescue and recovery, missing persons, and moving water rescue.
Curtner is a resident of Benton and has lived here since 1975. He and wife have two sons, one daughter and six grandchildren.
When asked about the selection Mr. Curtner stated, “I am honored to have the opportunity to continue my devotion to the best County in our commonwealth. I will work toward creating an agency that our citizens can be proud and supportive of.”
Curtner will begin his position on August 17, 2015.
