It might have been Senior Night but it was freshman Tommy Robertson who put the Marshals on the board first just under the halfway point of the first half. It was a 2-0 game on a goal by William Lynch, his 25th of the season, before Mayfield cut the lead to one on a goal by Antonio Perez before the half. A goal on a penalty kick by Ethan Tabor gave the Marshals a 3-1 lead that the Cardinals cut again on a goal by Pablo Sanchez but the 3-2 score held for the win.

The Marshals head into their final two regular season games this week ranked 13th in KHSAA RPI rankings out of 200 teams in the state. They are third in shutouts, seventh in scoring margin and currently eighth in scoring before Tuesday’s game with 91 goals and an average of 5.4 per game.

They will head to Murray on Thursday for a game with Calloway County and finish up at home on Saturday against Massac County.
