Kentucky State Police Arrest Tennessee Man after Ballard County Traffic Stop

Wickliffe, KY. (January 10, 2021) – Troopers with Kentucky State Police, Post 1 arrested a Tennessee man after a traffic stop in Wickliffe on Saturday night, January 9, 2021. At approximately 11:00 p.m., a Trooper observed a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox commit a traffic violation on US HWY 51 near the Ballard County Courthouse. During a search of the vehicle, Troopers located approximately 8 pounds of suspected marijuana. The operator of the vehicle, Jamahl J. Reese, 23 of Nashville, Tennessee was arrested and transported to the Ballard County Detention Center.

After being escorted inside the jail, Reese was found to be in possession of unidentified pills.

Reese was charged with Trafficking in Marijauna (> 5 LBS) 1st Offense, Drug Parahpernalia – Buy/Possess, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified), Promoting Contraband 1st Degree, and other traffic offenses.
