One Dead After Early Morning Collision in Lyon County

Eddyville, KY. (September 20, 2020) – Sunday morning, sometime between midnight and 5:00 a.m., a 2018 Subaru Impreza, being operated by Callum B. McKerr, 21 of Ft. Campbell, Tennessee, was traveling eastbound on Silver Trail Road. For an unknown reason, McKerr’s vehicle left the the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Shortly after 5:00 a.m., the wrecked vehicle was discovered by a motorist. After investigation, it was determined McKerr was the only occupant in the vehicle. He was declared deceased by the Lyon County Coroner. McKerr was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision.

The collision continues to be investigated by Trooper Nathan Day. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Lyon County EMS, the Lyon County Coroner’s Office, Grand Rivers Fire Department, and the U.S. Forest Service.
