Marshals finish second in Lexington at Bronco Invitational

Back in Lexington, this time at Greenbriar Country Club, the Marshals competed in the Bronco Invitational Tournament hosted by Fredrick Douglass High School.  The Marshals finished second (309) in the field of 18 teams, seven strokes behind first place Highlands (302). McCracken County finished third (310) led in scoring by three players with rounds of 77.

The Marshals were led by Jay Nimmo’s 2-under par 70 to finish second by one stroke behind Justin Gabbard from Highlands, who shot 69. Trey Wall carded a 2-over par 74 to finish tied for ninth, Camdyn McLeod shot 81, Preston Futrell 84 and Hayden Powell 86 to round out the team scoring.

Up next, the Marshals will head to Goshen, Ky. for the Kentucky Invitational at Harmony Landing Country Club on Saturday. Matches this week will include the JV Marshals hosting McCracken County and Caldwell County at Calvert City Country Club on Thursday.
