Class of 2020 – Justin Wilson

Justin is a hurdles, jumps, and sprints specialist and was entering his fourth season with the Marshall County track and field team. As a hurdler, he holds the indoor record in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.63 and has carved his name into the Top 5 performances in school history in the 110 meter hurdles and triple jump.

Justin opened the indoor season setting the school record at the UK Invitational and then re-broke his record two weeks later at the Roger Minton Indoor Invitational.

Coach Andrew Johnston said, “Justin was a sophomore my first year at Marshall and after taking second place in the regional meet, he came up to me and said, “‘We got this, Coach.’” And we went on to win that regional. I tell that story because that’s Justin, some might say he was overly zealous, but he was a guy I always counted on and I knew I could spread thin and get big results. He has been a huge point getter on this team and a leader. He is a personality I know both myself and the team will miss dearly.”

Last season, Justin was named to the Class 3A First Team in the triple jump and 110 meter high hurdles. He finished just outside the top 10 in 11th place in the triple jump at the state meet.

Justin will be signing with Kentucky Wesleyan College where he will continue to pursue his love of track at the next level.
