James Page, program coordinator with CASA by the Lakes joined WCBL’s Chris Freeland on Coffee Call recently. CASA stands for court appointed special advocate. Volunteers go through training and then are appointed by the court to a case involving a child that might be experiencing neglect or abuse. CASA by the Lakes serves Marshall and Calloway Counties. Page says right now the court dates have been postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. You can find out more about the program and how you can volunteer by going to casabythelakes.org. You can also make a donation by dropping a check to: 407 Poplar Street, Murray, KY 42071.
