Daytime work zone on KY 1708 in Hickman County starting Monday, March 30

PADUCAH, Ky. (March 28, 2020) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to establish a daytime work zone lane restriction on a section of KY 1708 in Hickman County starting Monday, March 30, 2020.

This work zone along KY 1708 at mile point 2.521 is to allow scour and erosion mitigation work at the Bugs Creek Culvert. This is along KY 1708 between KY 575 and KY 307.

Much of the work for this project is expected to be completed off along the right of way. However, motorists should use appropriate caution and be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers from time to time.

Some minor delays are possible during the placement and movement of equipment required to facilitate the work. Motorists should be alert for trucks delivering concrete and other materials to the worksite.

Harper Construction Company is the prime contractor on a group scour and erosion mitigation project that includes several area bridges and culverts. The target completion date for this project on the Bugs Creek Culvert is April 8, 2020.
