Work zone lane restriction planned along U.S. 62 in Marshall County on Wednesday, Jan 8

PADUCAH, Ky. (Jan 7, 2020) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a work zone lane restriction along a section of U.S. 62 between Possum Trot and Calvert City in Marshall County on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

The Marshall County Highway Maintenance Crew will restrict traffic to one lane along U.S. 62 between KY 1413/Alamo Road and KY 1523/Industrial Parkway near the 5 mile marker to allow debris to be cleared from a box culvert in the Barrett Branch area.  The work is to prepare for heavy rain expected over the next 3 days.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers between about 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., on Wednesday.

Motorists traveling across the region should be alert as highway maintenance crews in most of the KYTC District 1 counties will working at various locations clearing debris from drains in preparation for heavy rain the next few days.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
