Picked to lead the First Region this season, the Lady Marshals will kick off the regular season Tuesday at home against Goreville, Ill., the JV taking the newly named Howard Beth Court first at 6:00 followed by the Varsity game.
Three returning juniors will lead the way in Cayson Conner, Presley Jezik and Layne Pea with no seniors on this year’s squad. They will be joined by sophomore Halle Langhi and junior Maddie Darnall along with several talented sophomores and freshmen. Conner and Langhi were named to All-District and All-Region teams last season.
Dan Langhi begins his third season as head coach of the Lady Marshals. They were 23-9 last year with the season ending in the First Region championship against Murray.
Following Tuesday’s season-opener, the Lady Marshals will play two games in the Marshall County Hoopfest, Thursday at 7:00 against Russellville and Saturday against Anna-Jonesboro at noon.
