BENTON, KY)-CFSB is proud to partner with Murray State University and Murray State Athletics to bring Preston’s Place to Roy Stewart Stadium.  During each football game during the 2019 season, Preston’s Place is an area supported by local businesses and individuals that are assisting with the funding of the Preston Cope Memorial Scholarship at MSU.  Cope, a 2018 sophomore that was killed in the school shooting at Marshall County High School, was the son of Brian and Teresa Cope and brother to Maddox.  Preston was a member of the Marshals baseball team, a curious learner and a United States Civil War buff.

To help carry on Preston’s memory and his love of sports, Preston’s Place offers groups the opportunity to root on the Racers and learn more about Preston and his legacy.  Through a ticket package purchase in Preston’s Place, CFSB has invited the Marshall County Exceptional Center (MCEC) individuals and their families to be their guests for the November 16th game against arch-rival Austin Peay.  MCEC Executive Director Lindsey Walker said, “We are so excited about going to this game and representing Preston.  The Copes are wonderful people and we look forward to spending time with them and cheering for the Racers.”  CFSB’s Marshall County Market President Jason Jones added, “For us to be able to contribute to Preston’s Scholarship is quite humbling.  This initiative is a very unique way to honor him, as well.  Our prayers continue to be with the families of all of those affected by such senseless tragedies.”
