South Marshall Elementary student, Dixie Thompson, won a poster contest at Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel in Salem, Ky, where her Grandfather is employed. She won a $50.00 gift card from Ky Oaks Mall and a flower bouquet. Dixie is the daughter of Mindi and Corey Thompson and the granddaughter of Creig and Dixie Grim of Smithland. Her banner is currently displayed at the entrance to the quarry, as you can see in the picture submitted by her grandmother.
