Jessica Irwin with the local VFW post outside of Benton on Hwy 408 joined WCBL’s Chris Freeland on Coffee Call recently. Irwin is encouraging all high school students to take part in the VFW’s scholarship program called Voice of Democracy. Students write and record their thoughts on “What Makes America Great.” Applications are available at the VFW post on highway 408 or go to vfw.org.
