The public is invited to this regional community forum on improving outcomes for Kentucky children and families involved in the foster care system. This event will be to discuss concerns about the state foster care system, including issues with getting children into permanent homes in a timely manner and ensuring their well‐being and safety while in out‐of‐home care.
Due to confidentiality, specific cases will not be discussed.
Findings from the forum will be reported to the Kentucky Citizen Foster Care Review Board and will be included in the CFCRB’s annual recommendations to the Supreme Court, governor and legislature. Regional forums are among the reforms called for in House Bill 1, adoption and foster care legislation passed in 2018 to improve outcomes for children in out‐of‐home care.

Public invited to give input on foster care system at 7 regional community forums
The public is invited to attend any of seven regional community forums on improving outcomes for Kentucky children and families involved in the foster care system.
Local Citizen Foster Care Review Boards statewide are hosting the forums to give the public the opportunity to talk about concerns regarding the state foster care system, including barriers to getting children into permanent homes in a timely manner and ensuring their well-being and safety while in out-of-home care. Due to confidentiality, specific cases will not be discussed.
