Chumbler named Senator Jeff Green Scholar

Marshall County graduate, Jackson Chumbler has been named a Senator Jeff Green Scholar by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA). To earn this honor a student must have a 4.0 grade point average each year of high school and at least a 28 composite on the ACT. Jackson currently has a score of 34 on his ACT, and for the last year of high school he earned a GPA of 4.91. He has also earned $2500 a year in Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship(KEES). If he keeps his grades up in college, he will have $10,000 to use toward a four-year degree. Jackson is attending the University of Kentucky this Fall as a member of the Lewis Honors College. He is majoring in Computer Science within the University of Kentucky’s College of Engineering, and he has received the Thomas Lester Engineering Scholarship as well as the Presidential Scholarship.
