Marshall County Exceptional Center had an EXCEPTIONAL day today! Welcome to Wonka day was an invitation only event…which meant if you didn’t have a Golden Ticket, you weren’t getting in on all the fun today! MCEC Director, Lindsey Walker, and Executive Assistant Jaime Brooks, put a lot of thought into today’s event and how that wanted it to look and feel. As soon as they mentioned the Wonka theme to long-time Volunteer Pam Bradley, her and her family, which includes her husband John and children McKenzie, Kimberley, and Jackson, came up with a master plan. They set up the center after hours Thursday night for the event on Friday all on their own and it looked amazing!
Everyone started their day at the Joe Creason Community Building, where they were brought to the Exceptional Center in STYLE by a Mercedes SUV Limo that was Anonymously donated and came all the way from Nashville this morning! They arrived to a Red Carpet Entrance that took them to the gym to start dancing! The Murray Bank Ice Cream Truck showed up not long after they arrived by Limo to give out Free Ice Cream….which was a hit!!
Lunch is another big surprise they have coming….they have another anonymous donor that has purchased Steak and Potato dinners for everyone that will be delivered to the Exceptional Center and Pam Bradley’s son, Jackson, will be there to serve them!
In addition to dancing and candy, they will also be having a movie premier! Everyone was having an absolute blast already this morning and the day had just started.
